Thyroid
Thyroid Masses
Thyroid masses or nodules are lumps that develop within the thyroid gland. Many are benign, but evaluation is important to determine their cause and whether monitoring, biopsy or treatment is needed.
Diagnostic Work-Up
We offer evaluation and diagnostic work-up for thyroid masses. This may include ultrasound or CT imaging, fine-needle biopsy and laboratory testing.
Surgical Consultation
Surgical consultation is available for both benign and malignant thyroid masses when appropriate.
Salivary Glands
Salivary Gland Diseases & Masses
Salivary gland disorders can cause swelling, pain, infection or a noticeable mass. Common causes include inflammation, infection, salivary stones and benign or malignant growths.
Evaluation of Facial and Gland Swelling
ENTCare SWFL evaluates facial and salivary gland swelling and provides medical and surgical treatment when appropriate.
Treatment Options
Treatment may include medical therapy, abscess drainage, salivary gland stone removal, surgical consultation for parotidectomy and surgical consultation for submandibular gland removal.
Throat & Neck Masses
Throat & Neck Masses and Malignancy
Abnormal growths or masses in the throat or neck may be caused by infection, inflammation, benign growths or cancer. Appropriate evaluation can include physical examination, endoscopy, imaging and biopsy.
In-Office Flexible Laryngoscopy
ENTCare SWFL offers in-office flexible laryngoscopy for diagnostic evaluation and cancer surveillance. Same-day evaluation may be available when clinically appropriate.
Coordinated Care
We work closely with local oncology and radiation oncology physicians to coordinate treatment and monitor for recurrence.
